  • My car has been in an accident- what is the first thing I should do?
    Here is how to handle a car accident in 8 easy steps:
    1. Move your vehicle to a safe area (if you can)
    2. Stop your vehicle and get out
    3. Check on others involved
    Call 911 if anyone may be injured. Even a seemingly minor symptom like dizziness should be checked out by a health care professional.
    1. Call the police to the scene
    Even in minor accidents, a police accident report can prove invaluable when dealing with your car insurance company and other drivers. Cooperate fully, but avoid admitting fault or blaming others while at the scene. Let the police objectively judge events and determine who, if anyone, is at fault in the crash.
    1. Gather info
    Try to write down as much info as possible in the accident aftermath, including:
    • Driver and passenger names
    • License plate numbers
    • Insurance info
    • Makes and models of all vehicles involved
    • Contact info for any eyewitnesses
    • Location of the accident
    • The name and badge number of any responding police officers
    1. Document the scene
    If you have a smartphone with a camera, snap some photos of the accident scene and damage. They'll come in handy during the claim process.

    Once the insurance claim has been started, it's our turn to help. Call us or stop in for an estimate. Harbour Auto Body will handle the entire insurance and repair process from there. We'll work with you to get your car repaired as quickly as possible. NOTE: If needed, we can arrange towing and ensure that you have a rental car. We’re here to make everything as easy as possible and to answer any questions that you may have.
  • How do I get an estimate?
    Simply call us or stop in, no appointment necessary. Estimates are always free and can be done anytime, 8am-5pm, Monday – Friday. Estimates generally take 15-20 minutes. Also, we can arrange towing if your vehicle is unsafe to drive.
  • Do I need to get 3 estimates?
    No, insurance companies only require one estimate.
  • What are your hours?
    Our hours are Monday – Friday 8am-5pm.
  • Do you offer towing?
    Towing can be arranged, if the vehicle is unsafe to be driven. Call us and we will ensure everything is handled quickly and efficiently.
  • How do I get a rental?
    If you need a rental car, this can conveniently be handled directly through our shop. Call ahead and we’ll ensure one is here upon your arrival. Please be aware that most insurance companies have rental reimbursement through their policies. Be sure to check with your insurance company for availability.
  • How long will it take to fix my car?
    It depends on the damage, but most vehicles are repaired within 5 to 7 days. After the initial estimate, we will be able to provide a better idea of how long it will take. Please Note: Once the vehicle is in the shop for repairs and we get the vehicle disassembled, it is possible that we may find additional damage that requires extra repair time, extra parts, or both. This could push back the estimated completion date, but be assured, we will keep you posted along the way! Harbour Auto Body is thorough. Our main concern is fixing your vehicle properly and completely, getting you back on the road as quickly and safely as possible.
  • What if additional damage is found during repair process?
    If we find additional damage that requires extra repair time, extra parts, or both, we will immediately notify and confirm repairs with your insurance company. We’ll then call you with an updated repair completion date.
  • When my car has been repaired – where do I return the rental?
    Two options: 1) You can return the rental vehicle here and the rental company will retrieve the vehicle, or 2) you can return the rental to the rental company and they will give you a ride here.
  • Do you offer a repair guarantee?
